Eyesight and vision are different
Vision gives us far more information than eyesight alone. It lets us judge depth and see in 3D, and for that both eyes have to work together as a team.
When that teamwork breaks down, concentration drops, focusing becomes harder and eye strain sets in. In an observational study Saoji Vision Care carried out in leading Nagpur schools, about three in four children had a binocular vision issue that could slow their learning.
Who should have it?
Every school-going child, and anyone who does a lot of close work, especially on computers, should have this test. People with a squint benefit greatly from it.
We also recommend it when the comprehensive eye examination shows signs that the eyes are not working together comfortably.
How we are different
Our binocular vision assessment uses the same vision therapy equipment as our therapy clinic, among the most complete in Central India. The examination protocol was designed by experts in the field and is very thorough.
